Gunderson Marine
The Gunderson Marine facility, which includes the largest side-launch ways on the West Coast (up to 750 feet of capacity), is capable of producing large, ocean-going vessels. Current production includes conventional deck barges for transporting aggregate, heavy equipment and other industrial cargo.
The Gunderson Marine yard is a deep-water facility, fully equipped for constructing all types of river and ocean-going barges. Since WWII, more than 250 ocean-going vessels have been built, including double hull, gas turbine-electric drive oil tankers, and triple deck ro-ro barges. Other projects have included oil and deck cargo barges, chemical barges, dump scows, military gun boats, a 650' dry dock and a 420' crane barge equipped with a 500-ton whirley crane and helipad.
