Sliding Wall Wagon Unit with Permanent Short Coupler

This freight wagon is designed for multi-purpose use and is equipped with bipartite sliding walls. The sliding walls, in opened position, allows approximately 50% of loading length, which simplifies loading and unloading. Both single cars are connected with a short coupler in accordance with UIC 572, Section 3.1.3.3. The Hirrs unit is mainly suited for transporting euro-pallets, bundled long material, smaller containers and lumber. The wagon profiles are constructed in accordance with the Swedish gauge profile ā€Cā€œ. The underframe has been designed for an axle load of 25 t. The maximum travelling speed of a loaded wagon is 100 km/h. In empty condition, the wagon can run at 120 km/h. The wagon meets the requirements of the BGB 1414/1993/Schlv. noise standards.
