March is Women’s History Month and for many, it represents a time to celebrate women, past and present, who have inspired us in the workplace, our lives, and throughout history.

At Greenbrier, Women’s History Month provides an opportunity to recognize the contributions of women in manufacturing. It highlights our diverse workforce that fuels innovation and creativity, ultimately leading to greater organizational success.

This Women’s History Month, Greenbrier’s GBXCELS Women’s Leadership Employee Resource Group (ERG) invited employees to participate in activities throughout March to show appreciation for the women in their lives, whether at work or at home. Check out the activities below:

Dress for Success Community Partnership

Greenbrier is collaborating with Dress for Success to collect donations for women’s business and trades clothing.

Dress for Success is a non-profit organization with the mission to empower women toward economic independence with support, professional attire and developmental tools.

Wear purple to support Women’s History Month!

The ERG encourages employees to wear purple the week of March 4 to support Women’s History Month and the GBXCELS! They also provided purple ribbons and stickers at all locations.

Women in Rail: Past & Present

The GBXCELS is hosting an event to share stories about women in the rail industry on March 14. From historical trailblazers to today’s dedicated professionals, the presentation discussed the diverse journeys, resilience, influence and achievements of women in rail.

Send a note of appreciation!

Greenbrier and the GBXCELS will share cards for employees to thank a mentor, colleague or friend whose influence has significantly impacted their lives.

GBXCELS Leaders

The GBXCELS leadership committee looks to enhance communication, expand outreach, grow their network and plan meaningful events to increase employee engagement across Greenbrier. Additionally, the committee promotes participation among members to advance leadership skills and bring new opportunities for career development.
